The International North El Sokhna Port is the largest and first privately owned and operated port in Egypt. Managed by Sukhna Port Development Company. Joined by road to Suez and linked to the industrial zone by railway, the initial area of the port covers 23 million square meters of land.
The port's master plan comprises of the construction of four inland berthing basins; two of which are located to the North each with a 750mt. length and a 350mt. width. While the other two are located to the South each with a 1000 mt. length and 350 mt. width. An approach channel of 3650 mt. length, 250 mt. width and 18 mt. depth, and a turning circle of 650 mt. diameter.
