New Qattamiya-Sukhna highway approaches SIDC industrial park. The highway will upgrade the current two-lane highway into a developed divided six lane freeway. The freeway is part of the government support to (SSEZ) Suez Special Economic Zone.

SIDC finalized the sale of 25,000 square meter plot to Egyptian Company for Trading and Construction on 15/6/2003. The plant is still under construction. It is part of SIDC's efforts to start initiating electronic and cabling manufacturing inside the park
